The D-type horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pump is a single-suction, multi-stage sectional centrifugal pump. It is mainly used in industrial and municipal water supply and drainage, high-rise building pressure-boosting systems, garden sprinkler irrigation, fire protection pressurization, long-distance water transportation, heating systems, bathroom facilities, as well as cold and hot water circulation boosting and equipment (support applications).
The impeller is made of high-quality cast iron and contains blades. The liquid enters the impeller axially from one side. Due to the unequal pressure on both sides of the impeller, an axial force is inevitably generated. This axial force is borne by the balance disc. The impeller has undergone static balance testing during manufacturing.
The sealing ring is made of cast iron and is designed to prevent high-pressure water from leaking back into the inlet section. It is respectively fixed on the inlet segment and the middle segment.
The balance disc is made of wear-resistant cast iron and is located between the discharge section and the tail cover. Together with the balance ring, it forms the balancing device, which is used to counteract the axial forces.

The D-type horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pump is designed for the efficient transportation of clean water or other media with similar physical and chemical properties to water. It is suitable for liquids within a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C, containing non-soluble solid particles with a maximum volume concentration of 0.1% and particle size not exceeding 2 mm.

1. Pump Design and Configuration
Single-suction, multi-stage segmented centrifugal pump structure with horizontal or vertical suction port arrangement.
The pump body consists of an inlet section, intermediate sections (configured according to the number of stages), and an outlet section, all connected by tension bolts.
Bearing housings are installed at both ends of the pump, and the number of impeller stages is selected based on the required head.
2. Rotor Assembly
Rotating components include a precision-machined pump shaft, impellers, shaft sleeves, and a balance disc. The number of impellers corresponds to the number of pump stages.
All components are securely fixed to the shaft via keys and locking nuts, ensuring rigidity and integrity of the rotor structure.
3. Bearing and Axial Force Management
The rotor is supported by rolling bearings or sleeve bearings (depending on the model), with bearings not subjected to axial loads.
Axial thrust is counteracted by a durable balance disc system. A visual wear indicator is installed at the pump end for real-time monitoring of the balance disc condition.
