Product Description
100ZJQ55-30-15 kW Submersible Slurry Pump for Sand, Mud and Mine Dewatering

The 100ZJQ55-30-15 kW submersible slurry pump is designed for transferring abrasive mixtures containing sand, mud, silt and suspended solids. With a rated flow of 55 m³/h, a head of 30 m, a 15 kW motor and a DN100 discharge outlet, this model is suitable for medium-duty slurry handling where conventional clean-water pumps may experience rapid wear, sediment blockage or unstable suction.

Unlike surface-mounted pumping systems, the motor and hydraulic section operate as one integrated submerged unit. The pump can be positioned close to deposited material, reducing the need for long suction pipelines and simplifying temporary or mobile slurry-transfer installations.

Technical Specifications
Model 100ZJQ55-30-15
Pump Type Submersible slurry pump with bottom agitator
Rated Flow 55 m³/h
Rated Head 30 m
Motor Power 15 kW
Discharge Diameter DN100
Handled Media Sand-water mixtures, mud, silt and abrasive slurry
Main Wear-Part Material High-chrome alloy
Installation Vertical, fully submerged operation
Actual performance may vary with slurry density, solids concentration, particle size, pipeline length and site elevation. Please provide operating conditions when requesting final pump selection.
Designed for Abrasive Slurry Handling
Integrated Submersible Structure

The electric motor and pump share a compact coaxial arrangement. Because the unit works directly in the slurry, it does not require a separate suction line or priming procedure. This configuration is useful in mine sumps, settling ponds, construction pits and other locations where water levels or sediment depths change during operation.

Bottom Agitator for Settled Solids

A mechanical agitator is installed beneath the main impeller. During operation, it loosens sediment accumulated around the pump inlet and helps mix settled particles with the surrounding liquid. The resulting slurry can then enter the pump more consistently, reducing manual sediment removal before pumping.

The agitator is intended to mobilize local deposits around the inlet. Final suitability still depends on particle size, solids concentration and settling characteristics of the material.

High-Chrome Alloy Wear Components

The main impeller, agitator and principal wetted wear parts use high-chrome alloy. This material is selected for applications involving abrasive particles such as mineral fines, sand and silt. Compared with ordinary cast iron components, it provides a more suitable wear surface for repeated slurry contact. Cast iron, SS304 and SS316L configurations are also available within the broader ZJQ series for different mechanical and corrosion requirements.

Direct Discharge Through DN100 Outlet

The DN100 discharge connection supports practical hose or pipeline installation for temporary dewatering and fixed slurry-transfer systems. Correct pipeline sizing is important: an excessively small pipe increases friction loss, while an oversized pipe may reduce slurry velocity and allow solids to settle.

Typical Applications
  • Mine sump drainage and slurry transfer
  • Sand and silt removal from settling ponds
  • Quarry drainage and sediment handling
  • Construction-site foundation pit dewatering
  • Metallurgical and steel-plant slurry transfer
  • Thermal power plant ash or sediment ponds
  • River, pond and industrial tank desilting
  • Process-water systems containing suspended abrasive solids
This model is not selected solely by clean-water flow and head. Corrosive chemicals, oversized stones, fibrous waste or unusually high solids concentrations require a separate technical review.
Pump Selection Information Required

To confirm whether the 100ZJQ55-30-15 is appropriate, please provide:

  • Required flow rate and total dynamic head
  • Slurry density or estimated solids concentration
  • Maximum particle size and particle type
  • Medium temperature, pH and corrosive components
  • Power supply, including voltage, frequency and phase
  • Discharge pipeline diameter, length and vertical lift
  • Installation depth and expected operating hours

These details help verify motor loading, material compatibility, pipeline velocity and the required wear-part configuration.

Installation and Operation Notes

Install the pump vertically on a stable base or suspend it using the designated lifting points. Keep the complete pump unit submerged during operation and never lift it by the electrical cable. Check the discharge pipeline for secure connections and avoid sharp bends that add unnecessary resistance.

Before starting, confirm the power supply, phase sequence, insulation condition and control-panel protection settings. During service, inspect the agitator, impeller, pump casing, seals and discharge line at intervals based on slurry abrasiveness and operating hours. If flow or pressure decreases, check for wear, sediment accumulation and pipeline blockage before continuing operation.

Request a Pump Selection and Quotation

Send us your slurry properties, required duty point and electrical supply. Our technical team will review the operating conditions and recommend the appropriate pump material, cable length, control method and discharge arrangement for your project.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does 100ZJQ55-30-15 mean?

For this supplied configuration, "100" indicates the DN100 discharge size, "55" indicates a rated flow of 55 m³/h, "30" indicates a rated head of 30 m, and "15" indicates a 15 kW motor.

Can this pump handle sand and settled mud?

Yes. The bottom agitator loosens sediment near the inlet, while high-chrome alloy wear parts are intended for abrasive sand, mud and mineral slurry. Maximum particle size and solids concentration must be confirmed before selection.

Must the pump be completely submerged?

Yes. The pump is designed for fully submerged operation. Adequate liquid coverage supports motor cooling and stable operation.

Can it be used for corrosive slurry?

Material selection depends on the medium. The standard high-chrome configuration prioritizes abrasion resistance. SS304 or SS316L options may be considered for certain corrosive conditions after reviewing pH, chlorides, temperature and chemical composition.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Please provide flow, head, slurry density, solids concentration, maximum particle size, medium temperature, pH, voltage, frequency, pipeline details and installation depth.
